Meet our Coaches!
Christina Welch
Christina is a member of the United States Figure Skating Association and is the head coach of Burlington Hockey and Skating Association’s Learn-to-Skate program. She has been involved with our club since she was four years old, first as a skater and now as a coach. She won many medals in interclub, open, and New England Regional competitions in figure and freestyle events. Christina now gives professional instruction to many private students at the Winchester Figure Skating Club, Colonial FSC , and is the program owner/director for Woburn Preschool skating camps.
Christina holds a rating with Professional Skaters Association. She has attended PSA world conferences and seminars held in Las Vegas, San Diego, and Chicago to keep up with the many changes that occur in figure skating on a yearly basis. She has coached New England Regional Champions and medalists and has had skaters compete in the final rounds at the US Junior National Championships. She has also coached Adult National medalists in freestyle and showcase events.
Christina is proud to say that she has coached many students from their very first steps through double gold medals in moves in the field and freestyle. She loves to demonstrate how amazing skating is and that it can be a special part of anyone’s day to day life. She will lead through example knowing that as a young girl she gained her self-esteem through skating. One of her favorite quotes that she shares with her young skaters is “everyone is great at something, what are you great at?” Christina currently enjoys coaching all levels of skating! Jessica Hilton
Jessica Hilton grew up skating with Burlington Hockey and Figure Skating and represented the Winchester Figure Skating Club through her competitive career. During her competitive career she was a Gold Medalist at the Bay State Games, Bronze medalist at the State Games of America and a New England Regional Competitor. Jessica is also a USFS Gold Medalist in Freestyle and Moves in the field.
Jessica went on to skate professionally in ice shows for 6 years. She performed in shows such as Jeb Rand’s Holiday Ice Spectacular in Atlanta, Georgia and Woodstock Productions Snoopy Rocks on Ice in San Jose, California. Jessica also worked for Disney on Ice from 2011-2016. Her tours traveled nationally and internationally where she was a performer and an assistant line captain. Jessica has been coaching skaters of all ages and levels for over five years during her college education and since returning from professional shows. Her skaters have gone on to compete in basic skills competitions, NIECC high school competitions and take their USFS tests in moves in the field and freestyle. Jessica coaches for Burlington Figure Skating, The Winchester Figure Skating Club and the BHS Varsity Figure Skating team. She loves skating and now enjoys passing on her love of the sport to other skaters.
Pamela Hadley
Pam is a member of the United States Figure Skating (USFS), Ice Sports Industry (ISI) and Learn to Skate USA as a Professional Coach. Pam is an ISI Gold Certified Judge and Certified in the ISI “WeSkate” program – Core, Intermediate and Advanced levels. She also holds a Certificate and is SafeSport Trained with the U.S. Center for SafeSport.
Pam has been teaching skaters of all ages and levels for over 20 years. She teaches group lessons at several area rinks, as well as private lessons. She is continually improving her coaching techniques in figure skating, hockey skills and learn to skate by attending World Conferences, Instructor Seminars and Trade Shows. Pam has an AD in Legal Office Education and is a Certified Paralegal. She is available for private lessons and can be reached at 978-328-2007 or etclhadley@comcast.net.
Tracy Wheeler
In her 20-plus years of coaching in USFA and ISI, Tracy’s philosophy has always been to use a positive approach, fostering the Love of the Sport! To help each child ACHIEVE their goals while having fun, challenging themselves and encouraging team spirit .
Tracy is a current member of USFS, PSA and ISI and a Gold rated judge in ISI. She has attended several PSA and ISI national conferences.
Tracy’s students have passed through Senior Freestyle and Moves in the Field as well as ISI Freestyle 9. They have competed and medaled at inter-club and open competitions including New England Regionals, Bay State Games, ISI district and world championships, as well as Little New Englands. Many have become LNE champions and final round medalists!
